Energy, Vibrations and Life

Everything in our material universe is vibrating; the earth under our feet, the water we drink, the plants in the forest, animals and ourselves, even our thoughts. If it exists, it vibrates. And all vibrations radiate outward in waves.

Science and mysticism are largely agreed about this. All of creation can be classified according to its various vibratory rates. Denser forms of matter such as metals vibrate at low rates and thus are visible to us, less dense forms of matter such as electricity vibrate at higher rates and are invisible to us.

Following is a rather long quote from a mystical text which I have taken in full, because it is the best explanation I have seen of the impact of vibratory rates on objects and our perception of them.

"The Hermetic Teachings are that not only is everything in constant movement and vibration, but that the 'differences' between the various manifestations of the universal power are due entirely to the varying rate and mode of vibrations...

Scientists have offered the illustration of a rapidly moving wheel, top or cylinder to show the effects of increasing rates of vibration. The illustration supposes a wheel, top or revolving cylinder, running at a low rate of speed - we will call this revolving thing 'the object' in following out the illustration. Let us suppose the object is moving slowly. It may be seen readily but no sound of its movement reaches the ear. The speed is gradually increased. In a few moments its movement becomes so rapid that a deep growl or low note may be heard. Then as the rate is increased the note rises one in the musical scale. Then, the motion being still further increased, the next highest note is distinguished. Then, one after another, all the notes of the musical scale appear, rising higher and higher as the motion is increased. Finally when the motions have reached a certain rate the final note perceptible to the human ear is reached and the shrill, piercing shriek dies away, and silence follows. No sound is heard from the revolving object, the rate of motion being so high that the human ear cannot register the vibrations. Then comes the perception of rising degrees of heat. Then after quite a time the eye catches a glimpse of the object becoming a dark reddish color. As the rate increases, the red becomes brighter. Then as the speed is increased, the red melts into an orange. Then the orange melts into yellow. Then follow, successively, the shades of green, blue, indigo and finally violet, as the rate of speed increases. Then the violet shades away, and all colour disappears, the human eye not being able to register them. But there are invisible rays emanating from the revolving object, the rays that are used in photographing, and other subtle rays of light. Then begin to manifest the peculiar rays known as the 'X Rays' etc., as the constitution of the object changes. Electricity and Magnetism are emitted when the appropriate rate of vibration is attained.

When the object reaches a certain rate of vibration its molecules disintegrate..."

Following is a table showing roughly the rates of vibration which each of our senses is able to perceive.



Sight and Clairvoyance
Here is an excellent summary by William Buhlman, in Adventures Beyond the Body, in which he says about sight:

“When we put this into perspective, we recognize that each of us is visually aware of only three-one-hundred-thousandths of a centimeter of the energy radiation around us. We, who see so little of the universe, are quick to reach conclusions and judgments based upon the narrow limits of our vision. Our perspective of the universe, and of reality itself, is severely limited by the narrow range of our physical senses.”

Normal sight is restricted to the visible light range, in which we can see the full spectrum of colours from red to violet. Film incorporates most of the normal light spectrum and extends to some degree into the ultra violet.

Clairvoyants are people who, for one reason or another, are able to see beyond the normal range of sight. Many psychics are clairvoyant. These people are able to see a broader range of vibrations incorporating the infra-red at the lower end and the ultra violet at the higher end of the spectrum.

Hearing and Clairaudience
Most of us are aware that other animals are able to hear at different rates of vibration to ourselves, for instance dogs can hear much higher rates of vibration than we can, and so we have the “silent” dog whistles which they can hear but we cannot. But do we really consider sound waves such as radar, television, and radio waves. We know they are all around us, but we need special electronic devices to pick them up - of particularly active mercury fillings, as some people have discovered!

Clairaudients are psychics who have extended their hearing capacities beyond those normally found in the human species, and are able to hear things the rest of us cannot.
